We had the pleasure of creating the visuals for an educational piece on the newly launched Asharq news channel which details the backgrounds and comparisons of Lockheed Martin’s F-35 and F-22 aircrafts in a visually stunning presentation that takes the viewer for a ride. The visual story follows the virtually replicated aircrafts flying side-by-side that takes full advantage of the beautiful views overlooking Asharq’s new virtual studio as the narrator explains the technical details of the two aircrafts.
These aircrafts are the latest and greatest in the U.S air force, provided by their contractor: Lockheed Martin and are both incredible feats of engineering. They are alike in different ways, but it’s what separates them that makes them special.
The F-22 was intended as a replacement for the F-15 as America's front-line dominance fighter. Despite its protracted development and various operational issues, USAF officials consider the F-22 a critical component of the service's tactical air power.
The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is an American family of single-seat, single-engine, all-weather stealth multirole combat aircraft that is intended to perform both air superiority and strike missions.
The project started with Dubai’s Asharq team sending us a recording of their host presenting the piece inside their green screen studio, before our team placed him within Asharq’s new virtual studio for the segments that required life-size models of the aircrafts that detail their various technical features. Our team then began creating a visual story following the journey of the planes as they fly around Asharq’s virtual world and showing off their offensive capabilities.
Asharq’s explainer takes the visual approach to storytelling even further by taking the viewer on a journey across Asahrq’s beautiful virtual world with views of the studio and the endless horizon that surrounds it. By integrating the host into the new virtual studio, he can visually interact with the virtual studio and explain the topic much better than in a traditional physical news studio.
The space of Asharq’s brand new virtual studio offers a fresh and dynamic aesthetic and serves as the perfect opportunity to show off Asharq’s virtual capabilities.
Being surrounded by water not only provided the viewer with an unmatched feeling of relaxation, but gave our team more than enough space to explore ways to visually take this segment to the next level. We took full advantage of this freedom when creating the flight paths for the segments that required a long shot of the fighters.
When talking about the technical specifications of the F-22 and F-35, our virtual team integrated the real-life-size aircraft models into the studio’s interior for an impressive first impression of both the jets and the virtual space.
The educational piece finishes with a short scene on the studio’s rooftop before the plane elegantly elevates downwards into the centre of the studio’s interior where it all began.
The launch of Asharq’s multiplatform channel has taken the whole Myreze team on a wild journey through inspiring ideas and groundbreaking work and are proud to take visual storytelling another step further by combining Asharq’s fresh and dynamic brand with our virtual capabilities. It was a great pleasure for us to take part in this highly unique educational piece for Asharq and we look forward to seeing more of the incredible stories being taken to the next level from inside their beautiful virtual world.
